01 Divisare

Divisare is a company with a long history. It began in 1998 as Europaconcorsi, a service which informed architects of design competitions across Europe. Europaconcorsi has evolved to include a variety of databases that feature information about competitions, designers, and projects.

In August 2015, the platform was rebranded into three separate entities: Divisare, Europaconcorsi, and Architettura Italiana.

Divisare (which means “to devise in Italian”) has grown to be the largest archive of contemporary architecture online. It features over 140,000 projects and a curated collection of albums by theme is organized into cities, houses, and other categories.

Subscribers can also access a journal and a weekly review of the architecture blog. Divisare announced in November 2018 that their Atlas of Architecture would be closing down, with the final shutdown taking place on 15 December 2018.

Divisare’s website and online store were relaunched on 1 July 2019.

02 Subtilitas

Subtilitas is a digital platform that showcases contemporary architecture projects with an emphasis on craft, materiality, and detail. It was founded by Jeff Kaplon, a Los Angeles-based designer and founder of Subtila. The site has been online since November 2009.

The team has personally selected and researched a collection of architecture projects for the blog. Although they receive many submissions, not all of them can be featured.

03 Aphasia

Afasia, a Spanish architecture online journal, is well-known for its daily posts on architecture and contemporary arts. The platform is a beacon of new ideas and challenges the old.

04 Dezeen
